Of course, the majority of Goths are unique in their style and music preferences. However, within the subculture there are certain "types" of Goth with particular characteristics. And it can be fun to classify them. Naturally, classifications for each "type" vary from person to person, so you may disagree with what I say here!
Another overdue type. I decided to include the kodona/ouji look in here partly because I didn't feature this type in the "JGoth" type. When I did the "J Goth" all those years ago, Gothic Lolita was still very much all lumped together with the Visual Kei scene, so I classed the two together. It now appears that Gothic Lolita at some point overtook Visual Kei in terms of popularity in the West, and Gothic Lolita styles are now very much entrenched in the Western Gothic movement (as well as the separate cosplay scene), whereas Visual Kei is still fairly niche. If I was going to re-do JGoth again, I'd probably just focus on Gothic Lolita and include Kondona there.
Omfg, I think I'm becoming one.
Would it be fair to compare it to the anime Black Butler?
whoo TBM 4 the win!!!
that reminds me of ceil phantomhive
Black Butler is actually set in the late 1800s, and Ciel IS an aristocratic Victorian era boy. His style isn't based off of this, but rather based off the same thing as this is.
Aww, cute. Wish some of these new styles had existed way back when.
